About This Show
The earliest Mad Hannans show in the archive, recorded April 1, 1998 at Marin Brewing Co. in Larkspur, with Troy on bass. It's an audience recording and the sound is rough; no EQ or noise reduction was applied, so the room sound is left as captured. “Da Da Da (Slave to an Angel)” appears here without the “The Kiss” intro that it later picked up.
The set includes covers of Steve Miller's “Space Cowboy,” a staple during these early Mad Hannans years, the Rolling Stones' “Far Away Eyes,” and the novelty “The Rodeo Song.” Individual tracks were loudness-normalized to the archive standard; fades and clip fixes were done by hand as usual.
